End of Year Performance
The end-of-year concert is the culmination of the dancers' work throughout the year. It is an opportunity for students to perform, celebrate their achievements, develop confidence and experience the excitement of being part of a live production.
For many of our younger dancers, this may be their first experience performing on a theatre stage. For our older dancers, it is an opportunity to further develop their performance skills, independence, professionalism and stagecraft.
For the concert to run smoothly, *everyone has a role to play* — dancers, teachers, backstage staff and parents.

ADDITIONAL PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
Throughout the year, we may receive invitations to perform at community events, festivals, family days and other local functions, which are opportunities separate from the annual concert.
They are opportunities — not obligations.
If a dancer is available and would like to participate, we encourage them to take part. If they are unavailable, that is completely okay. There are no repercussions.
A dancer who chooses not to participate in an optional performance opportunity will *not*:
* Lose their place in their class.
* Be removed from choreography.
* Be treated differently.
* Disadvantage their classmates.
* Be penalised in the concert.
* Receive any negative consequence.
So why offer them?
Because they are fantastic learning opportunities. Performing outside the studio teaches dancers how to:
* Adapt to different spaces and work with different stages
* Perform for unfamiliar audiences.
* Manage nerves.
* Represent their studio.
* Develop confidence.
* Become adaptable performers.
We want dancers to embrace opportunities when they can, but we don't want an optional opportunity to become a source of pressure for families.
