Our Enrolment Process

All student enrolments are completed online via JotForm to ensure a streamlined and efficient registration process. Upon enrolment, families will also be required to complete a Medical, Allergy & Pre-Existing Conditions Form. This information is kept confidential and made available only to relevant teaching staff where necessary to ensure student safety and appropriate care in the event of an emergency.
 

 

Invoices are issued upon receipt of enrolment and are strictly payable within 14 days of issue. Payments may be made via cash, bank transfer or PayID. Family discounts and multiple class discounts are automatically applied where eligible, helping make dance training more accessible and affordable for our studio families.
 

 

To ensure classes remain viable and provide the best possible learning environment, classes are capped at 16 dancers, and a minimum of three enrolments is required for a class to run. Where higher class enrollments occur, classes may be split according to age and similarly, where minimum enrolment numbers are not met, smaller classes may be combined at the discretion of the studio.
 

Families will always be notified in advance should any timetable adjustments be required.

​Missed classes are unable to be refunded, credited or transferred due to the costs associated with running classes and staffing. We understand that illness, school commitments and family events can occasionally impact attendance, and we encourage students to attend regularly to ensure consistent progress and confidence in class. Where possible, makeup classes may be offered at the discretion of management and subject to availability.

 

If a student wishes to discontinue classes, written notification must be provided. Please note that refunds are not offered for students who choose to discontinue partway through a term, as enrolments secure a student’s place within the class for the duration of that calendar year.

Fees

Invoices will be generated and emailed 2 weeks prior to the due date, with all accounts being strictly 14 days. For overdue invoices, a late fee of $15 per week will apply unless prior arrangements have been made.

 

An annual registraltion levy of $40 per family will be applied to your first term invoice, and valid for the remained of that calendar year.

We have a variety of payment methods available to suit every family including bank transfer, cash and credit card.

For students who have trialled a class, but still not sure if Move Dance is right for them or enrolling mid-term, classes are charged at the following rates for the remaining lessons of that term.

 

If a class will not run due to a Puplic Holidays falling within our regular timetable, the below schedule is how classes will be invoiced for that term, based on the number of lessons in that term.

30 MINUTE CLASS - $18.50

45 MINUTE CLASS - $20.00

60 MINUTE CLASS - $22.50

75 MINUTE CLASS - $25.00

90 MINUTE CLASS - $27.50

All classes are invoiced based on a standard 10-week term. Where classes do not operate due to a Public Holiday, classes are invoiced at the PER CLASS rate for the number of lessons in that term.

Non-Payment of Tuition Fees

AMDC is committed to providing a positive and professional environment for all families. To ensure the ongoing operation of the studio, tuition fees must be paid by the nominated due dates.

​

In the event that tuition fees remain unpaid, the following process will apply:

​

1. *Payment Reminder*

   * A courtesy reminder will be issued if payment has not been received by the due date.

​

2. *Overdue Notice*

   * If the account remains outstanding for 24 hours after the reminder, a formal overdue notice will be sent requesting immediate payment, and a late fee of $25 will be applied to the account.

​

3. *Restriction of Participation*

   *Where an account remains unpaid and and no payment arrangement has been agreed upon, the studio reserves the right to suspend the student's participation in classes until payment is received. Students with overdue accounts may become ineligible to participate in performances, competitions, examinations, workshops, special events, or receive concert-related items, including costumes, concert packs, professional photos, and videos, until the account is brought up to date.

4. *Cancellation of Enrolment*

   * Continued non-payment may result in the cancellation of the student's enrolment, with their place offered to another student.

   

5. *Debt Recovery*

   * Accounts that remain unpaid after reasonable attempts to resolve the matter may be referred to a debt recovery agency or legal representative. Any additional costs incurred in recovering the outstanding balance may be payable by the account holder, where permitted by law.

Families experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to contact the studio as early as possible to discuss a suitable payment arrangement. AMDC will endeavour to work with families wherever possible.

Private Lessons

Private lessons offer personalised, one-on-one training tailored to each dancer’s individual goals, ability and learning needs. These sessions are ideal for students seeking additional technical development, exam or audition preparation, competition coaching, or focused improvement in specific areas of dance.

​

With individual attention and a customised approach, dancers are able to progress at their own pace, refine technique in detail, and build confidence in a supportive and focused environment. Private lessons also provide valuable opportunities for goal setting, choreography refinement and accelerated growth.

​

Private tuition is available by appointment and subject to teacher availability. These sessions are designed to complement regular class training and support each dancer’s overall development and potential.

​

Private Lesson Terms & Conditions:

• All private lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to teacher availability.

• Private lessons are charged at a separate rate from regular class tuition:

30 minutes - $55.00 / 45 minutes - $70.00 / 60 minutes - $85.00

• Payment is required prior to or on the day of the lesson.

• A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.

• Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

• Students arriving late will still finish at the scheduled lesson time.

• Consistent cancellations or non-attendance may result in forfeiture of ongoing private lesson bookings.

• Private lessons missed due to teacher illness or studio closure will be rescheduled where possible.

• Students are expected to arrive in correct uniform with appropriate footwear and grooming requirements adhered to.

• Private lessons are intended to complement, not replace, regular class attendance and training.

Discounts

We are proud to offer family and multiple class discounts to help make dance training more accessible and affordable for our

students. We encourage dancers to explore a variety of styles and are committed to supporting families with more than one child enrolled at the studio. Discounts will automatically be applied where eligible and are designed to reward commitment, consistency and involvement across multiple classes and programs. Please note that family discounts do not extend to adult classes or extended families (eg, cousins). Should a family member choose to discontinue, the discount may no longer apply.
